The mission of the Madison High School Alumni Association of Houston, Inc (MHSAA) is to form a community of alumni that will support the students and the faculty of Madison High School. MHSAA received its Certificate of Incorporation from the State of Texas effective September 10, 2013 and the IRS has approved MHSAA as an authorized 501(c)(3) organization. MHSAA is supported by alumni and others that have an interest in the well-being of the students, school facilities, and the surrounding community.

The Scholarship Committee is responsible for awarding scholarships that are available to all graduating seniors of James Madison High School. There is an initial screening process of all applications and essays. During this period of deliberation over the submitted documents by the applicants, the finalists will be selected and subsequently the recipients will be chosen. The scholarship committee will be led by the Scholarship Committee Chairperson.
The Membership Committee is responsible for the recruitment and retention of MHSAA members. This committee will be charged with using creative ideas to attract and retain the organization's membership. Any person may become a member of this Organization by (a) filing an application for membership (b) paying to the Organization all dues as required and (c) complying with all membership requirements as set forth from time to time by the Board of Directors. The Membership Committee will be led by the Membership Committee Chair.
The Communications Committee is responsible for communications between and among Madison High School Alums worldwide. It maintains and develops the organization's website, social media sites, and any publications that will be used to communicate with the membership. The Committee will also work closely with the events committee to ensure the dissemination of upcoming events is communicated to the membership. The Communications Committee will be led by the Communications Committee Chair.
The Events Committee is made up of members who enjoy planning and putting on events and programs of interest to MHSAA members. The committee works under the guidance of the MHSAA Events Committee Chair to map out and budget events for the year, and then implementing them.
The Volunteer committee is responsible for seeking out volunteers to work on various projects and activities that will be promoted by the MHSAA. This committee will be led by the Volunteer Committee Chair.
